If you re a new customer of LADWP and are wondering how to pay your bill, the following are the different payment methods offered by the company:


 Online: Use the online payment facility provided by LADWP to pay your bills over the internet at your convenience. You use this service, you must first register for an online account with the company.

Once you are successfully registered, you can not only pay your bills through this service but also view your past statements, usage history, schedule payments etc. This is a free service. To register, visit the following webpage – www.ladwp.com/login

Automatic Payment: Do not want to bother yourself with the monthly hassles of bill payments? Then this is your best option. Under this plan, LADWP will debit your pre authorized bank account with the amount of your monthly bill. This will be done automatically without requiring any of your intervention. The amount will be deducted only 10 days after the bill has been issued to you so that you have ample time to verify the accuracy of the bill and contact the service center in case of any corrections. This is an absolutely free service that not only saves you time but will also ensure that your bill are always paid on time.


By Phone: You can also pay your bill through LADWP’s Interactive Telephone Response system. Once you call 1-800-342-5397, you can select the “Make a Payment” option to authorize payment through your checking or savings account. Make sure that you have your Customer Access Number (CAN) and bank information handy when making the call.

By Mail: If you want to pay by mail, you can send your check together with your payment stub to the following address –

If your check returns to the company due to insufficient funds, then you will be charged $25 each time a check returns.

In Person: You can also walk into any customer service center Monday to Friday from 9AM to 5PM and pay your bill. Credit cards and debit cards will not be accepted as payment.

If you do not pay your bill on time, you will be charged a late payment fee at an annual rate of 18% of the due amount. If you know that you might not be able to pay your bills on time, it is better to contact the company and discuss the possibility of a payment arrangement. Alternatively, you can also check if you are eligible for any energy assistance in your area.
