Discover Bill Payment Options
Paying Online: If you need to save time and money making your payments online is your best option. Discover lets you make your payments using your online account for free. When you make your payments online you will receive an email for confirmation when your payment has been made. To make an online payment you will need to enter your checking account information one time. After that you will no longer have to worry about entering your information again as Discover saves it for future use. When you have an online account you will be able to view your past payment history. You will also be able to schedule future payments and even cancel them if needed. To make an online payment you will need to Log in.
Once you are in the Accounts Center you will be able to click on make a payment. If you have not already registered for an online account you can register here now.
When you make your online payments you will not have to worry any longer about your payments getting lost in the mail. putting you in control when and where your money goes.
Paying By Mail: Every month before your payment is due you will receive a statement in the mail. You will be then able to send your payment back in the pre addressed envelope provided. It is very important that you pay with check, money order or cashiers check. You never want to send cash in the mail. Be sure to write you account number on the memo section of your payment. When you opt to send your payment in the mail you will want to make sure you allow 7 to 10 days for your payment to reach the processing office. Automatic Deduction: If you dont want to worry about making your payments each month, you may sign up for automatic deduction. With Discover’s automatic deduction you are able to set up your payment to be debited from your checking or savings account. You can set it up to make your minimum monthly payment or you may pay your total amount. When you sign up for automatic deduction it can take up to 60 days before it takes effect. You will want to make sure you make your payments as usual until you are sure that your automatic deductions has taken effect. If you are already enrolled for an online account you can log in and sign up for direct pay. With automatic deduction you can make additional payments if you need, anytime, if you like. Making A Payment At Participating Sears Stores: If you have a participating Sears store near you can make your payment at the check out. If you are paying with cash you will need to have your Discover card with you to process the payment. Paying with a check or money order you only need to have your full account number. You will be given a receipt and will need to keep it for confirmation of your payment.
Using Western Union: You can make your payments through Western Union for a cash payment. When you make a payment through western union they are usually credited to your account within 24 hours. You will need to be sure to use the city code name WESTPAY, IL. When making your payment you will need to have your account number and use Discover Card as the company name. There is a maximum payment of $5,000 per transaction. Western Union charges a transaction fee.
